At least 40 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli strikes across Gaza on Sunday, including two dozen when a residential building in the northern town of Jabalia was hit, according to Palestinian health officials.
At least 24 people alone were killed when an Israeli strike destroyed the three-story building in Jabalia at dawn, The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) said.
Around 30 people were wounded, PCHR said.
The Jewish National Fund of Canada has lost its appeal to stop the tax department’s revocation of its charitable status.
The decision to end the fund's charitable status three months ago was welcomed by pro-Palestinian activists.
"JNF has a long history of funding the illegal military occupation of Palestine and seizing Palestinian land while benefiting financially from tax breaks in Canada," Palestinian human rights organisation Al-Haq said.
Climate activist Greta Thunberg has called for protests at the embassies for Turkey and Azerbaijan across the world over their energy shipments to Israel.
Thunberg said the protests are necessary to call for a stop to the flow of oil through the Baku - Ceyhan pipeline that indirectly supplies Israel.
Thunberg said Turkey and Azerbaijan were 'complicit' in Israeli violence.
Iran's foreign ministry called Sunday for an arms embargo on Israel and the expulsion of its arch-foe from the United Nations, following a deadly strike in Syria.
Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Tehran "strongly condemned the aggressive attack carried out today by the Zionist regime against a residential building" in the Damascus area.
The strike on an apartment belonging to the Lebanese group Hezbollah, killed nine people including a Hezbollah commander, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said.
At least 41 people were killed in Israeli strikes across Lebanon on Sunday, including 23 in a raid north of the capital Beirut, the health ministry said.
Israel is also launching fresh raids on the towns of al-Duwayr, Harouf, Jebchit and Shebaa, according to Arabic media reports.
Israel said that its air force intercepted two drones that were en route to Israel from the east.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is working out of a reinforced room on the basement level of the Prime Minister’s Office, instead of his standard higher floor office, as a result of security threats, Channel 12 news reports.
Netanyahu's home was struck by a drone fired from Lebanon last month.
Hezbollah said on Sunday night that it attacked the Haifa naval base with drones.
The Lebanese group said on Telegram it launched "a squadron of attack drones on the Haifa naval base … and hit its targets accurately”.
At least 38 people were killed in Israeli strikes across Lebanon on Sunday, including 23 in a raid north of the capital Beirut, the health ministry said.
Israel has intensified its air campaign in recent days, especially in the country's south and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Further north, an "Israeli enemy strike on Almat in the Jbeil district killed 23 people including seven children," the health ministry said in a statement, adding that body parts had been recovered from the site and were being identified.

At least Fifty-three people were killed in Israeli attacks across Lebanon on Saturday, Lebanon's health ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
The death toll since Israel's offensive began in October 2023 now stands 3,186, with 14,078 others wounded.
US national security advisor Jake Sullivan said on Sunday that the US will decide this week whether Israel has addressed a US letter warning that it has not done enough to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin issued the warning last month in a letter to senior Israeli officials.
Sullivan also said that the US believes Hamas is the main obstacle to a ceasefire in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday, in a first public disclosure, that he had okayed a September attack on Hezbollah in which thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies exploded across Lebanon.
"Netanyahu confirmed Sunday that he greenlighted the pager operation in Lebanon," his spokesman Omer Dostri told AFP.
The attacks preceded Israel's ground invasion of southern Lebanon.
