Lebanon's Hezbollah group says its fighters targeted two Israeli military sites in southern Lebanon with rocket fire.

In a statement on Telegram, the group said its fighters launched rockets at the Ramtha site in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills and the Zebdine site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms, with rockets, hitting both targets "directly."

Israeli settlers have set fire to "dozens" of centuries-old olive trees in Sira, a village near Nablus in the occupied West Bank, Wafa news agency is reporting, citing local sources.

According to Wafa, the area has seen a surge in settler violence, which has included the burning and uprooting of trees, attacks on homes and the establishment of new military checkpoints.

Since 7 October 2023, settlers have carried out 1,334 attacks in the West Bank, including in East Jerusalem.

Israeli forces have issued evacuation orders over the last month at an "unprecedented pace", with 13 issued since 22 July,  according to a report by AP news agency.

The UN says that at least 84 percent of Gaza now falls within the evacuation zone, with 90 percent of the enclave's population displaced since October and crowded into an ever-shrinking "humanitarian zone" along the southern shoreline.

In August alone, evacuation orders have been issued roughly every two days and have displaced nearly 250,000 people, the UN said.

A 16-year-old boy has been injured by Israeli forces during an incursion on the town of Beit Furik in the occupied West Bank, Wafa news agency is reporting

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), whose teams treated the boy, said that he had sustained gunshot wounds to both legs.

Wafa added that Israel forces had detained one Palestinian during the raid, citing local sources.

The Palestine Red Crescent (PRCS) has reported that the second floor of the rehabilitation department in Khan Younis's al-Amal Hospital has been directly targeted by Israeli fire. 

In a post on X, the society confirmed that no staff or patients were harmed in the attack.

"This violation comes amid intensified targeting and ongoing air strikes against displaced persons and residential areas in various parts of the Khan Younis governorate," the PRCS added.

A bomb planted in a cistern close to the illegal settlement of Avnei Hefetz in the West Bank has detonated near Israeli soldiers, the military said today.

The army said there were no injuries and that teams were searching the area for more devices.

Lebanon's Hezbollah group has said on Telegram that it had launched a drone strike on a military site near the Yaara settlement, targeting and "accurately" hitting troops.

Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the UN agency for Palestine refugees (Unrwa), has said that children in Gaza are "bearing the brunt" of the war.

In a post on X, he pointed to recent research which revealed that â€śthe risk of family separation has dramatically increased in the past months, exacerbated by multiple rounds of displacements, arrests, Israeli evacuation orders and fatalities".

Citing Unicef numbers, he said that â€śabout 17,000 children in Gaza are estimated to be unaccompanied or separated from their parents", adding that the number was likely higher.

Israeli forces have attacked central Gaza’s Bureij refugee camp, killing and injuring people, Al Jazeera Arabic is reporting.

The number of fatalities is currently unknown, but most of the victims are thought to be children.

Central and southern Gaza have been pounded by air strikes since last night, killing an estimated 69 Palestinians and injuring another 212 in the past 24 hours, according to the enclave's health ministry.

Gaza's health ministry has warned of an "unprecedented crisis in medicine and medical supplies", reporting on Telegram that 60 percent of essential medicines and 83 percent of medical consumables have run out in the ministry's warehouses.

It warned that the shortages would bring medical services, most notably emergency services, operations, intensive care, kidney dialysis services, primary health care and mental health services, to a halt.

The ministry further called on the international community "to intervene swiftly and provide the necessary medicines and medical supplies" to Gaza.

The International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, has called on a panel of pre-trial judges to â€śurgently render its decisions” on arrest warrants he requested in May for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

Khan added that "any unjustified delay in these proceedings detrimentally affects the rights of victims".

The Israeli army has issued new evacuations orders for neighbourhoods in central Gaza.

The order applies to four residential blocks in the areas of eastern Deir el-Balah and Maghazi.

Israel’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee announced the order on X, encouraging residents to flee to a "humanitarian zone" in the west.

This is the third order that the military has issued in three days. At least 100,000 people have fled Deir el-Balah in the last two days.

At least 40,334 people have been killed and another 93,356 wounded by Israeli forces since 7 Octover, Gaza's Health Ministry said today.

It added that, of that figure, 69 Palestinians had been killed and another 212 wounded in the past 24-hour reporting period.
